A Brooklyn man had just boarded a subway in the middle of the day when he heard a woman belt out a blood-curdling scream. He didn’t think much of it initially, but when it carried on for longer than a few seconds, he looked in her direction then immediately went barreling through the crowd, from one end of the train to the other.
Maurice Osborne witnessed a dirty man pleasuring himself in a 28-year-old woman’s face while she was trapped by him and his perverted wrath. She screamed for the suspect, 40-year-old Alvaro Denica, to get away from her. He seemed to take that as an invitation to take his perverted proclivities to the next level. Denica grabbed his victim and slammed her to the floor, where he attempted to rape her in broad daylight, surrounded by other passengers.
Everyone aboard stood by and watched it all happen, not wanting to get involved in someone else’s business for sake of their own safety, but Osborne wasn’t one of those cowards. The brave man booked it toward the victimized woman, pushing his way through all the pansies to inflict instant justice on this degenerate.
“When I looked back, I saw he was on top of her,” Osborne told the NYPost. “She said he was about to rape her — that’s when I beat him up. All he said was, ‘I didn’t do anything.’” He had been caught in the act, so Osborn made him pay. “I punched him, hit him a couple of times a couple of blows,” he said. But it didn’t stop there.
The courageous hero pummeled the pervert on the platform after the train stopped at a station. Osborne, who had endured a battle wound on his fist and above the eye during his brave effort, picked Denica up by the shirt and dragged him two city blocks to the local police precinct to be charged for his crimes. The female victim followed them both the entire way, while she cried and kept thanking Osborne for being the only one to help.
Denica allegedly admitted to police that he had pleasured himself in front of the woman, but he denied trying to rape her. He was charged with assault as a sexually motivated felony and attempted sexual abuse Thursday, and he was held on $150,000 bond.
Osborne is now rightfully being hailed a hero for what he did to stop this monster from having his disgusting way with an innocent stranger. “There were a lot of people who didn’t do anything. I was the only one that did something. When you see something like that you’re supposed to help,” the good Samaritan said.
People have become too passive to take action, because they fear for themselves more than they care about other people. The fact that this can go on in front of so many citizens, who refuse to help, says something tragic about the state of society today. Osborne proved that not everyone lacks character and courage. This woman was lucky to have him aboard that day. Had he not been there, she would probably have been raped while others watched, pretending it wasn’t happening.
