Hateful Mayor Who Repeatedly Attacks Trump Just Hit With Major Karma After FBI Showed Up

The hateful mayor who picked a fight with President Trump after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico last year is at it again. She’s the one who suddenly had ‘Nasty Woman’ t-shirts made while her people were suffering the results of a massive hurricane. She, San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz, was posted on outlets such as CNN bashing the president. The devastated island was without power and water for months and officially and 64 died due to the storm. Governor Ricardo Rossello is now suggesting the number of deceased is much higher.

Regardless of what you hear in the media, President Trump sent aid immediately. Some of the aid took awhile to get to its destination. It was poorly managed and sat in docks unused for some time. Trump signed a $36.5 billion aid package to help the struggling nation recover. The left can blame this on the Trump administration all they want, but the truth is the responsibility lies with the leadership in Puerto Rico. They know they are prone to hurricanes and they can hardly be surprised when they get hit by a monster one. They didn’t harden their infrastructure or mandate the sturdier building of homes and businesses. They didn’t stockpile food and supplies and provide enough shelters. Basically, they didn’t do their jobs. Of course, Cruz accused the U.S. government of turning its back on them which is not true.

Cruz went on a non-stop attack against Trump, saying he “speaks out of both sides of his mouth.” In other words, she called him a liar. “On the one hand, he says he wants to help Puerto Rico. On the other hand, he imposed a 20% income tax on every good and service that comes from Puerto Rico into the United States. On the one hand, he says we will be with you for the long run. And on the other hand, the [Food and Drug Administration] is trying to convince pharmaceutical companies to leave Puerto Rico,” she told CNN.

“He says he cares and he came here and threw paper towels at us,” she said, referring to Trump’s visit to the city of Guaynabo last October. “And on the other hand, he doesn’t provide his administration with a clear set of goals to help Puerto Rico.” Exactly what has Cruz done for her constituency other than whine on liberal media outlets? Nothing. She should not have been elected and shame on Puerto Rico for doing so. The media ate it up though. She was invited to late night talk shows where they love to smear the president. She felt it was her duty to address his policies, but now she’s facing some trouble.

Cruz and Trump met face to face in Puerto Rico. That seemed to quiet her down a bit, but not for long. She was right back at it. New reports are suggesting that corruption in San Juan prevented critical supplies from reaching Hurricane Maria victims.  The FBI has been called in and karma has officially arrived on Cruz’s doorstep. They are investigating suppliers and Cruz’s administration.

According to a local news report from El Vocero de Puerto Rico, the FBI is investigating several suppliers for alleged corruption in San Juan. That could mean a number of things, but the details were not clear at the moment. This particular investigation was launched when former procurement director Yadira Molina filed a lawsuit claiming she faced punishment for reporting illegal activities to the local comptroller. The investigation has spread to a number of contractors and I’ll bet, Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz. “On February 21, Molina sued the city council after reporting alleged acts of corruption in the shopping division in the town hall under the administration of Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz Soto,” the report says.

Molina claims she was blocked from trying “to report wrongdoing in her capacity as a private citizen, not as a public employee.” She was fired for trying to do the right thing here after reporting an allegedly rigged system, corruption and a slew of other claims.

It’s amazing that Cruz accuses Trump of what she was allegedly doing.  There were many reports following the hurricane that U.S. supplies were stalled in the ports, with local corruption preventing proper distribution. The claims were largely dismissed by news outlets as conspiracy theories and were used to attack Trump’s relief efforts. The Trump administration later bypassed local officials and the U.S. military began delivering the goods directly to Puerto Ricans. Carlos Osorio, the FBI media representative at the San Juan field office, said that the FBI received several complaints of alleged corruption in the distribution of relief goods and that the FBI is required to look into criminal complaints.

What should happen with the Cruz situation?
